Draft — not legal text. This page describes in plain words what NextRole does with your data today. It is a placeholder, to be replaced after legal review and before sign-up opens to the public.

What is stored
- Your account: name, e-mail, the language you chose, a hash of your password (never the password), the devices signed in.
- What you put in: your profile (contact details, links, notice period), your general and baseline resumes, your skills inventory, the jobs you save with their descriptions, your notes and statuses, your filters and the companies you hide or suggest.
- What is generated for you: tailored resumes and every version of them, fit analyses, interview stories, outreach drafts.
- Usage: for each model call, the step, the model and the number of tokens — not the text.
- Your own model key, if you add one: encrypted, never shown back.
Who else sees it
- Nobody else using NextRole: every row is tied to your account and the database refuses another account's reads.
- The model provider (Anthropic): to write a resume, an analysis or a draft, the text it needs — your resume, the job description, your skills inventory, your profile's name — is sent to it with each call.
- The e-mail service that sends the sign-up and password messages.
- Nothing is sold, and there is no advertising or tracking. There are two cookies: one keeps you signed in, the other remembers the language you chose.
The browser extension
When you click it, it reads the job page you have open and sends it to your account; when you ask it to fill a form, it fills that page. It never browses, clicks or applies on its own.
Backups
The database is backed up once a day, encrypted, and each backup is kept for 30 days.
Your data, your call
- Download it: Account → Your data → Download my data gives you everything above as one file.
- Delete it: Account → Your data → Delete my account removes your account and everything in it at once. Copies in backups disappear as those backups expire, within 30 days, and are never restored into the service.
